WWE is in discussions about returning to Australia in 2025.
The West Australian is reporting that WWE is negotiating with the Cook government for a return to Perth next year.
The report highlights that the government is remaining “tight-lipped” regarding the negotiations and mentions Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti’s statement:
“We’re consistently seeking these types of unique and exclusive events that draw visitors to our beautiful State, especially those that are notably popular like UFC and WWE.”
WWE previously hosted the 2024 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event in Perth in February. There is no information on whether the 2025 event will be a pay-per-view or weekly TV taping.
Notably, WWE’s arch-rival, AEW, will host the Grand Slam show in Australia in February 2025.
AEW Grand Slam 2025 will be held at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, marking AEW’s first event in the Land Down Under.
