Next week, a new era for WWE SmackDown begins as the blue brand starts its run on the USA Network with a special season premiere episode.
Headlining the show will be a Steel Cage match for the Undisputed WWE Championship as Cody Rhodes defends his title against Solo Sikoa. WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis booked the cage match stipulation to try to make it a fair fight with the intent it will keep the rest of The Bloodline out of the mix.

After being at odds with each other for quite some time, Kevin Owens challenged Austin Theory and Grayson Waller to a Triple Threat match on this week’s episode. Owens was victorious, but A-Town Down Under got the last laugh, beating him down after the pinfall. Following up on that, they approached Nick Aldis backstage to ask him to book a match for next week with the two of them against Owens and a partner of his choosing, assuming he doesn’t have any friends who will be willing to team with him.

Finally, the rivalry between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes continues with their fifth match, after both have tied the score at two wins each. As both Superstars are looking to position themselves as the next in line for a United States Championship shot, it can be assumed the winner of this match will get an opportunity against LA Knight in the near future, though that has not been officially confirmed.
