The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 experienced a substantial rise in traditional PPV buys since it aired in November.
The total increased from 15,300 just a fortnight ago to 20,800. Most of these PPV buys came from rural areas, which is typical for this format nowadays.
Nevertheless, this figure is the second highest of the year, surpassing Bad Blood 2024, SummerSlam 2024, and Royal Rumble 2024 and only trailing behind WrestleMania 40.
Rural buys jumped from 69.7% to 77.5%. In contrast, major market buys declined from 17.7% to 13.7% to 10.2%, reflecting the overall trend, as most viewers watch on Peacock.
There were very few late buys, particularly outside of rural markets.
