The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Los Garza on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown to earn themselves a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships at some point in the near future (not yet announced as of this publication).
This is the culmination of a mini-tournament of sorts with most of the blue brand’s tag team division facing off. Last week, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin defeated A-Town Down Under’s Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, while Angel and Berto had defeated Pretty Deadly.
Kit Wilson and Elton Prince came out during this week’s show to try to help Los Garza win, but it ultimately backfired on them, as their distraction blocked referee Jessika Carr from being able to see Berto’s pinfall attempt.
