WWE RAW Superstar CM Punk will not compete at WWE’s events in Saudi Arabia if he does not wish to, it has been reported this week.

During Punk’s time away from WWE, the promotion began its lucrative partnership with the Middle Eastern Kingdom to produce high-profile events.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Punk will not be forced to compete at upcoming events in Saudi Arabia if he does not wish to.

The report acknowledged that Punk may choose to compete at these events, but if not, it would be possible to write him off TV.

Punk was highly critical of WWE’s Saudi Arabia deal during his hiatus, even telling The Miz to “go s*** a blood money covered d*** in Saudi Arabia” in 2020.

Punk was written off TV with an attack by Drew McIntyre in 2024, keeping him off the card for WWE Crown Jewel last November.

Earlier this week, WWE confirmed that the 2026 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
