Xavier Woods On Austin Theory’s Talent, LA Knight Recalls Pitch Black Match

On a recent edition of the “UpUpDownDown Save Point” podcast, WWE Superstar Xavier Woods recalled watching Austin Theory wrestle for the first time.

Woods said, “Years ago, one of my very dear friends Simon Serman, he said hey I got this kid at this wrestling school, you need to come and look at him cause I think he’s very good and I want to see if there’s anything there. I went to this wrestling school, here’s Austin Theory … wrestled around with him and I said you know what you’re pretty good, why don’t you come on in and then the rest was him.”

Theory and Waller were in action on last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown, losing to Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens in the main event.

During a recent appearance at Fanatics Fest NYC, WWE United States Champion LA Knight reminisced about the Pitch Black Match with Bray Wyatt at the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.

Knight said, “Well, look, you can’t see half of anything. Yes, some things were glowing in there, which gives you, I guess, a little bit of a head’s up, if you will, a little bit of a visual. But for the most part … things were coming at you from nowhere. So, very difficult. Obviously, not a great match for me; not a great night for me, but onward and upward.”

Wyatt defeated Knight to win the Pitch Black Match at the event.
