The late Umaga had no interest in his children becoming professional wrestlers, according to his son Zilla Fatu.
Earlier this year, Zilla shared his aspirations to become a wrestler and turn his life around after spending six years at a Texas State Penitentiary.
Speaking to “Mosar 3,” Zilla spoke about his father, who died in late 2009. He said,
“I don’t know if you or anybody else know, my dad did not want any of his kids into wrestling. My dad, that was a no, like he used to tell us, ‘hey, you guys are not going wrestling.'”
Zilla Fatu has been training with Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion but is yet to have a professional match.
