AEW Rampage Results (3/4/2022)
#1. [TNT Championship] Sammy Guevara (c) vs. Andrade El Idolo vs. Darby Allin — Winner: Sammy Guevara
– The Death Triangle says, allow them to add some fuel to that fire this Sunday. They may be down one Lucha Brother, but there are three of you, and three of us. An eye for an eye. Malakai Black admires Alex for taking it upon himself to sacrifice for his friends. They will be honored to take him out. The lights go out in the venue.
The House of Black pop up on the outside of the ring. Alex tells them they have their own monster… it’s Erick Redbeard! (AKA Erick Rowan) He’s ready to join the ranks of the Death Triangle. Security does its best to keep them apart, but Redbeard and Brody King are too big for them. Redbeard clears all the security mostly by himself. House Of Black are reluctant to get back in the ring. Penta rips a security guys arm out of his socket, just to send a message.
– Dan Lambert congratulates Sammy Guevara for defending his title against everyone except Scorpio Sky. He insults AEW before telling us that Sky will challenge Guevara next week, in exchange for Paige VanZant to show up and sign a contract.
#2. Keith Lee vs. JD Drake — Winner: Keith Lee
– A bloodied CM Punk tells MJF he will become a monster to fight the monsters of the world. Because he’s CM Punk, and he’s better than you.
– Smart Mark Sterling says no one compares about Tay Conti or anyone else. Anna Jay asks him what time of week it is, before Conti attacks Jade Cargill from behind.
#3. [Professor Time Challenge] Serena Deeb vs. Leila Grey — Winner: Serena Deeb in a minute via submission
Hikaru Shida is back! She brutally destroys Deeb with a kendo stick, so much so The Professor runs away. Shida looks meaner than ever.
– Eddie Kingston says yup, he will face Chris Jericho on Sunday. Why is he here today? He don’t want to talk no more. Promo? Everyone wants to use insider terms these days. You want to doubt Kingston? Want him to flip the script? He’s going to embarrass Jericho, leave him laying, and he’ll have to shake his hand. Let’s go get some pie at catering.
#4. [Face of the Revolution Ladder Match Qualifier] Christian Cage vs. Ethan Page — Winner: Christian Cage
This means the ladder match will include the following: Keith Lee, Orange Cassidy, Powerhouse Hobbs, Ricky Starks, Wardlow & Christian Cage
Jurassic Express come out to celebrate with Cage. Young Bucks and reDRagon come out to ringside and steal Jurassic Express’ titles for a moment. Luchasaurus snatches them back and Jungle Boy leaps on to them. Chris Jericho lets Eddie Kingston know he will kick his ass this Sunday. See you then folks, for AEW Revolution!
