AEW Dynamite Results (1/1/2025)

#1. Orange Cassidy vs. Hangman Adam Page – Winner: Hangman Page

After the match, Page attacks Cassidy, and then Christopher Daniels as officials try stopping the assault.

#2. The Acclaimed vs. Shelton Benjamin & Bobby Lashley (w/ MVP) – Winners: Hurt Syndicate via submission*

Anthony Bowens left Max Caster to the mercy of the Hurt Syndicate, and then called him a selfish a-hole.

#3. Jamie Hayter vs. Julia Hart – Winner: Julia Hart after spraying mist

Mercedes Mone has a championship celebration with a vignette and champagne. She hypes up Wrestle Dynasty, when she puts her Strong Women’s title on the line against Mina Shirakawa. She also wants the Rev Pro Championship that belongs to her. Remember that “money changes everything”.

#4. [To Be #1 In Casino Gauntlet] Roderick Strong vs. Jay White vs. Swerve Strickland – Winner: Jay White

An enraged Ricochet hit Swerve with golden scissors during the match. Afterward, he stabbed him in the head with the scissors, and then followed up by smashing Prince Nana with a steel chair. Ricochet left him bloodied after Undisputed Kingdom showed up to scare him off.

Jeff Jarrett addresses his career. He expresses his gratitude to many things. When he began thinking about the end, it took him back to the beginning. His grandmother sold wrestling tickets and became the CFO of the Tennessee territory, and then his father got in to the business. In 1986, when Jeff got in to this industry, he decided to drop out of school and start his wrestling career. In 2002, he bet on himself to launch his own promotion. In his professional opinion, that promotion produced some of the best wrestlers of all time.

And that brings us to tonight. Should the Last Outlaw ride off in to the sunset? And the answer is hell no, because the thought that keeps going through his mind is that when he took his biggest risks, he got his biggest rewards. Jeff just signed his last contract with AEW. He isn’t just after any ride, as he wants singles gold. He could fall flat on his face, but he is here to say that on January 1st, 2025, the Last Outlaw’s New Year’s resolution is he wants to become AEW World Heavyweight Champion.

#5. Death Riders vs. Rated FTR – Winner: Rated FTR
