AEW Dynamite Results (1/15/2025)

#1. Brian Cage vs. Kenny Omega – Winner: Kenny Omega

The Don Callis Family attacks Omega after the match. Will Ospreay attempts a save. Konosuke Takeshita appears and the numbers game becomes too much for Omega & Ospreay.

Ricochet makes his way to the ring. He isn’t happy with the reception. It takes him a while to speak. He eventually does and threatens to leave. Swerve Strickland’s music plays, and Prince Nana blindsides Ricochet with a steel chair shot. Strickland casually stalks Ricochet until he escapes out in to the snowy, cold street.

#2. Private Party & Mark Briscoe vs. Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley/Shelton Benjamin/MVP) – Winners: Hurt Syndicate

It is confirmed that Adam Copeland will face Pac next week. Also, Swerve Strickland will face Ricochet. Up next is Jeff Jarrett.

Jarrett enters the ring and gets a microphone, and is about to say something, but is quickly interrupted by MJF. He does not believe Jarrett knows what it is to be humble. He is about to school everyone on the real legacy of the “Last Outlaw”. Jeff Jarrett is the last thing you see before your favorite wrestling company dies. He is a pro wrestling grim reaper. When he looks back on his career, it makes him want to drink… oh, sorry, he is a former alcoholic. How about, for the health of him and the company, MJF sends Jarrett back to rebab where he belongs? And his wife Karen can stick around. He likes her. After he is done with her, he will know what it is like to go after him and an Olympic Gold Medallist.

None of this impresses Jarrett. He has heard it all before a thousand times. The AEW fans awaken a desire in him that he didn’t know he still had. He will do everything in his power to get that passion going, to keep him on track toward becoming the AEW World Champion. As for MJF’s zingers, Jarrett was him long before he was him. Jarrett did it better than him. Before we get heated, he just wants to clarify if he is a dumbass or a scumbag. Or perhaps it is all the above. He feels sorry for Maxwell. It is really tough being raised by a call girl mother. When his dad knocked his mom up, she still made him pay for that. Jarrett continues to insult MJF’s mother.

Let’s get to the point. MJF needs Jarrett, because he is drowning in his own shit. He is scared to enter the gauntlet. He is scared to death of never being on top again. MJF is scared of becoming a one-hit wonder. Ok, well MJF does not agree. He made himself, and he did not need his daddy or to start his own company to succeed. MJF takes us through the hardships he has been through since losing the AEW World Championship. He needs to win the title so he can shove it down everyone’s throats. Instead, he has to wait in line for Jeff Jarrett? No wrestling fan has ever given a single shit about Jeff Jarrett.

Just because he was best friends with Owen Hart, he thinks he’s owed a grand finale. MJF sees through his bull. He is nothing more than a leech riding the coattails of his deceased friend. Jarrett punches MJF in the face and security rushes in to stop him. Karen Jarrett gets him off MJF, but then MJF grabs her. Luckily, he was just using her as a shield so he can run away and escape.

#3. Christian Cage vs. Hook – Winner: No Contest

The Patriarchy beats up on Hook. Samoa Joe returns! He takes them all on and they have to retreat. Christian Cage looks worried.

#4. [Women’s Casino Battle Royal] Particpiants: Kris Statlander, Jamie Hayter, Megan Bayne, Julia Hart, Willow Nightingale, Toni Storm and Harley Cameron – Winner: Toni Storm becomes #1 contender

#5. [AEW World Championship] Jon Moxley (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs – Winner: Jon Moxley retains via technical submission

The Death Riders dish out some serious damage to Hobbs’ leg before Rated FTR show up, and then they quickly retreat to end the show.
