Will Ospreay puts over Buddy Matthews by saying he can see tag gold in his future, or if he works hard enough, singles gold. If he ever needs someone in his corner, let him know. They shake hands.
After the break, Private Party enters with some girls to celebrate their continuing to be tag team champions. It is interrupted by the Hurt Syndicate. MVP makes a toast for them, before Bobby Lashley states they are also toasting them taking the tag team titles.
Hurt Syndicate attacks Mark Briscoe after the match. Private Party make the save with a pair of steel chairs, and the Hurt Syndicate think better than to take them on.
Hobbs admits that it was Jon Moxley who brought him in to AEW. But come Maximum Carnage, he will make Moxley his b****.
Ian Riccaboni gets a word with Jeff Jarrett. He asks if he still has what it takes to climb that mountain. MJF’s music plays. When he gets to the ring, MJF introduces himself. He wants his title back, but it seems like a lot of work. Powerhouse Hobbs is #1 contender because of his failure. None of these men are worthy of being champion, but there is one man who is. That guy is Jeff Jarrett.
Oh, but should it be known that he is not being honest. He only has one year left on his contract, which is as long as the pro wrestling business has for him. All he asks is for one tiny favor. When he helps him procure his “Triple B” title, he’d like the first shot. Want to make a deal? MJF extends his hand to him. Jarrett does not shake his hand. He wonders if MJF will learn anything from his failings. There is a saying for guys like him, and that is “One Hit Wonder”. Jarrett has been at rock bottom, and he has been comfortable there.
That gives him the opportunity to fight himself back to the top of the mountain. Tonight, MJF could have entered the Casino Battle Royal, but he chose to scheme. What a difference a year can make, and Jarrett is going to make the most of 2025. He doesn’t need MJF, and as far as what he is trying to sell, he is not buying anything from an entitled prick.
After the break, Adam Copeland enters the ring. He has done more to be standing here than anyone. He broke his neck while wrestling Eddie Guerrero and won that match. Also, he broke his leg while wrestling Malakai Black, and he won that match. What can Jon Moxley do that nobody has before? The Death Riders enter the venue. As they get close to the ring, they are blindsided by FTR and a fight breaks out. However, the numbers game gets the better of Rated FTR. Moxley locks in a tight headlock and Copeland passes out.
Mariah May asks the women to make history by dancing for her during the Casino Battle Royal. Harley Cameron appears by sliding in on a chair. She says they are both hot women and should give the fans a teaser, so how about they have a match? Mariah May tells her she won’t give her a title shot, but that is fine. Harley agrees to a non-title match. May agrees to the challenge. She will beat Harley and then rip her head off. Harley mutters something, before revealing that Mariah will feel her wrath.
Kenny Omega returns. He grabs a microphone and says thank you. It was a little over a year ago that he was given the bad news of getting diverticulitis. For those who don’t know, it took two feet of his intestines from him. Had he not checked in, he may have died. Upon successful surgery, he had two questions. How long will his recovery be? And when can he get back in the ring? The doctor said he’d be lucky if he can return to a normal way of life, nevermind being Kenny Omega again.
He ended up back in hospital four more times. And there were times he asked if this was worth it? Can he do it? There was a moment that he felt giving up was the safest option. When he considered that option, he realized he had no purpose. He returned to Japan, and tonight, to find his purpose. If he can’t be Kenny Omega, then he is not living. Even if he can’t do the things he used to do, this version of Omega can still prove he is… interrupted by Don Callis.
Callis welcomes Omega back… but Omega instantly darts and starts pounding on him. The Don Callis Family rushes out to save him. They triple team him, and just as Cage is about to power bomb, Will Ospreay makes the save with a chair! After the Don Callis Family run away, Ospreay and Omega have a stare down to end the show.
