AEW Dynamite Results (7/10/2024)
Will Ospreay opens the show with a microphone. He has heard that MJF is one of the most insecure men in wrestling. Daniel Garcia still cannot move and is stuck at home. He may never find his way back to pro wrestling. MJF has blamed the people and his ADD, but Ospreay has ADHD, and it doesn’t excuse him to be a prick. After some interactions with him, he already knows he doesn’t like him.
During the infamous bidding war of 2024, Tony Khan spent extra money on Ospreay to help elevate AEW, then to spend extra money on a guy who buries it. He has more talent in his left nut than MJF has in his own body. Ospreay represents the foundation of this place, and MJF only cares about himself. The moment he stepped foot in AEW, he has been cleaning up after his mess. He welcomes the “scumbag” version of himself, because that is the best version.
Ospreay says he is after a fight, so if MJF is back there, come out and get some. Here comes MJF. Actually, he appears on the screen instead. MJF says Ospreay isn’t any different from anyone else he has beat. He says when the fans get sick of his routine, they will discard him. Good wrestlers are replaceable and a dime a dozen, while he is irreplaceable. MJF does not wrestle for fun. He wrestlers for the betterment of AEW. He challenges Ospreay for the International title next week. And Will won’t be wrestling for stars, because he will punch him until he starts seeing them.
#1. [Owen Hart Tournament Final] Bryan Danielson vs. Hangman Adam Page – Winner: Bryan Danielson
After the commercial, Swerve Strickland talks about the future. He still holds a grudge the pin fall win Danielson has over him, but he respectfully congratulates him. Strickland wanted to announce he will join Team AEW at Blood & Guts. He is going to lead the team and step up. He also challenges Will Ospreay to a match at some point. Strickland promises Danielson that All In will be his final countdown.
#2. [Stampede Street Fight] Samoa Joe vs. Chris Jericho – Winner: Chris Jericho won by possibly killing Samoa Joe (RIP) by driving through a wall with a forklift
#3. [Global Glory 4-Way] Claudio Castagnoli vs. Kyle Fletcher vs. Pac vs. Tomohiro Ishii – Winner: Pac via submission
Pac says things haven’t been going his way. He has experienced many humiliating failures, but he knows that it’s All In season. The Bastard will not be denied his Wembley moment. He will be back.
Backstage, Hangman Page tells The Elite that he will do it, which probably means he will join their team at Blood & Guts.
Mercedes Mone compliments herself by using Bret Hart’s catchphrase, before asking everyone to celebrate her being a double champion. Britt Baker crashes the party and Mone is upset while standing far away from the ring.
After a commercial, Darby Allin is seen destroying Brandon Cutler. Allin sends a warning to The Elite before the 250th Dynamite.
#4. [Owen Hart Tournament Final] Willow Nightingale vs. Mariah May – Winner: Mariah May
Toni Storm appeared to celebrate with Mariah May. They get to the entrance way… and May hits Storm with the belt! She viciously hits Luther with the belt before putting him through a table. The champion is bleeding, so May grabs a stiletto and busts her open more with the heel.
May rubs her face against Storm’s bloodied face as the fans chant “You Sick F***!” – It’s a crazy, intense, and brutal ending to Dynamite, as Mariah May sends a clear message to her former mentor. She is coming for the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In, and is willing to do whatever it takes.
