  • Promo: MJF and Daniel Garcia put each other over. MJF pitched he and Garcia should have a match at All In. Will Ospreay then came out to also put over Garcia and grant him an International Championship match for next week, but also, put the world title on the line if he beats Swerve Strickland at Forbidden Door. The story being told is that MJF is upset about being upstaged. Right after, Swerve Strickland was shown saying Ospreay has a focus problem and better hold up his end of their tag match later on.
  • Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli) vs LIJ (Shingo Takagi, Hiromu Takahashi, Titan) was thrown out after a continued brawl. Tetsuya Naito came out after the match to fight with Moxley. Takagi then beat down on Wheeler Yuta until Bryan Danielson (who was ringside for commentary) came into the ring for a face-off.
  • Owen Hart Cup Tournament First Round Match: Jay White defeated Rey Fenix by pinfall. The Patriarchy comes out after the match to put The Bang Bang Gang on notice.
  • The Young Bucks announced that they’re going to “enter their own wildcard” into the Owen Hart Tournament. (Author’s note: Since we already knew there was going to be a wildcard, it seems this is just confirming The Young Bucks are the ones picking that person.)
  • The Acclaimed cut a promo on The Young Bucks after the commercial break, telling them they’re going to beat them for the tag titles now that they’ve earned an opportunity. They were interrupted by Nick and Matt Jackson, along with Kazuchika Okada, to challenge The Acclaimed for a trios match at Forbidden Door. Billy Gunn then says he knows some people, including a president, and motions to the screen. A video about Hiroshi Tanahashi airs, that he is going to be there for Forbidden Door to team with Max Caster and Anthony Bowens instead of Gunn.
  • Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews The Conglomeration. Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly (doing an impression of Briscoe), and Orange Cassidy (who didn’t really say anything) talked some trash about Zack Sabre Jr.
  • “Timeless” Toni Storm, Mariah May, and Mina Shirakawa defeated Saraya, Anna Jay, and Harley Cameron by pinfall. After the match, when they were celebrating, Storm got too much of May’s attention, which upset Shirakawa, who attempted to hit Storm in the head with a bottle of champagne, only to break it over May’s head instead when Storm ducked.
  • A video package broke down Mercedes Moné and Stephanie Vaquer to hype up their Winner Takes All match for Sunday.
  • Promo: The Learning Tree addressed Bryan Keith being “injured” and not able to be their third guy for Forbidden Door. They have a video of their own, similar to The Acclaimed’s Tanahashi announcement, but Chris Jericho hasn’t watched it yet. He unveils it to be Minoru Suzuki, only for Suzuki to say in the video that he doesn’t want to team with Jericho. He hates The Learning Tree and wants nothing to do with it. Instead, he wants to face Jericho one-on-one for the FTW Championship. Samoa Joe, Hook and Katsuyori Shibata then came out to taunt them and for Shibata to say “Oh brother, this guy sucks.” Jericho slapped Joe, which sparked a brawl that resulted in The Learning Tree running off.
  • Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Kyle O’Reilly by submission. After the match, O’Reilly was tended to by Roderick Strong, Gabe Kidd, Mike Bennett and Matt Taven. TMDK (Shane Haste and Robbie Eagles) backed up Sabre Jr. Tomohiro Ishii then came out to stand beside Orange Cassidy for a stare down.
  • Will Ospreay & Swerve Strickland defeated Gates Of Agony (Toa Liona & Kaun) by pinfall. Strickland laid out Ospreay after the match to make a statement and posed with his title to end the show.
