Impact Wrestling Results (7/1/2021)

#1. Eddie Edwards vs. Satoshi Kojima — Winner: Did Not Start

Eddie Edwards didn’t make it to the ring because W. Morrissey took him out. Everyone loves and respects Edwards, but who was watching his back when he got taken out in the parking lot? So Kojima is left on his own like everyone else in this world. Brian Myers makes his way to the ring with his protege Sam Beale.

He tells his student there’s nothing to learn from Kojima, so he can leave the ring right now. Kojima doesn’t take it lightly and attacks Myers, but he’s double teamed. Jake Something enters the ring to even the odds. A referee comes out and tells them management has decided to make this a tag team match, which will take place right now!

#2. Kojima & Jake Something vs. Brian Myers & Sam Beale — Winner: Kojima & Jake Something with the Lariat

– Scott D’Amore says it has been an interesting couple of weeks with Tommy Dreamer, but he has something to do… Havok & Rosemary literally teleport in. They want to be representatives of the Knockouts Division as tag team champions. Scott loves what they are doing and will take it under advisement, but let’s have a proper conversation later. Rosemary laughs and says he’s no fun.

#3. Tenille Dashwood (w/ Kaleb) vs. Rachael Ellering (w/ Jazz) — Winner: Rachael Ellering

– Dashwood & Kaleb attack Ellering, so Jazz jumps in to save her. She’s about to be double teamed, but Jordynne Grace makes the save and cleans house. Ellering extends her hand to Grace, slaps it away, and instead goes in for the hug. Looks like the team is back together. So… for now, the breakup was for nothing.

– Chris Bey remains neutral in the X-Division. Ace Austin & Rohit Raju don’t care because they have the muscle to back them up, Shera & Madman Fulton. So long as Bey doesn’t stand in their way, he won’t get ripped in half.

#4. TJP & Fallah Bahh vs. Rich Swann & Willie Mack — Winners: No Contest*

*Violent By Design want nothing to do with this, so they come down and destroy everyone in sight.

– Kiera Hogan doesn’t understand how Rosemary & Havok can just demand a title shot like that, they aren’t even a real team. Tasha Steelz says they beat ’em both with different partners, so there’s no difference. They find Scott D’Amore and are irate at him over the situation. He says they have a good point that Rosemary & Havok haven’t earned a shot, so next week they will face a challenge, but he’s pretty vague on what that will be, which doesn’t please the champs.

– Tommy Dreamer has an old saying: “United we stand, divided we fall”. He never wanted to share a locker room with Raven, but together they got the job done. Tommy only really likes Chris Sabin on his team, but together they can put Impact Wrestling first. Moose says they should know by now he doesn’t care who likes or hates who, all he cares about is winning. After what went down in Jacksonville, no one has a bigger issue with Kenny Omega than him. Callihan takes exception, but this is bigger than them. It’s about putting their foot down and beating their asses. Thumbs up… thumbs down!

#5. Chris Bey vs. Petey Williams — Winner: Chris Bey

Ace Austin, Rohit Raju, Madman Fulton & Shera make their way to the ring. Chris Bey gets out so they can target Petey Williams. Josh Alexander & Trey Miguel come to help out, and it works out well to begin with, but the numbers are too much. Bey comes back and missile dropkicks Shera?! Josh Mathews sounds surprised… but I’m not. Bey has picked sides and helps out by kicking Raju’s head off. Austin is left in the ring by himself at the mercy of his X-Division rivals. They dish out some punishment before throwing him to the outside on to his friends.

– Susan & Kimber Lee are talking about what they can do about their former leader Deonna Purrazzo. Lee suggests that they could resort to a former Knockouts Champion called Su Yung. Susan asks “who’s that?”

#6. Steve Maclin vs. Manny Smith — Winner: Steve Maclin

#7. Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers (w/ Don Callis) vs. Sami Callihan, Moose & Chris Sabin (w/ Tommy Dreamer) — Winners: Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers with Magic Killer
