Welcome to the results for NWA Powerrr Season 11 Episode 4, coming to you from Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee on December 6, 2022! This episode featured the first night of the Champions Series.

The program begins with announcer, Kyle Davis, explaining the rules of the lengthy Champions Series tournament beginning this week. Each NWA champion is captain to a team of fellow NWA talent, with 8 total teams, that will compete for points that they are awarded through the outcome of their matches. Points are awarded as follows:

  • Submission – 6 points
  • Pinfall – 5 points
  • Count out  – 2 points
  • Draw – 2 points (to each competitor)
  • Basic Disqualification – 1 point
  • Extreme Disqualification – 3 points *an extreme DQ takes place when a blatant disregard to the referee is shown and the match is no longer able to continue.
Bully Ray vs. Odinson (Draw)
The two competitors spent most of the match exchanging heavy blows and lock ups with Odinson besting Bully Ray each time. Bully Ray would utilize the ropes many times to keep his opponent at bay, even requesting the referee to double check Odinsson’s boots for foreign objects at one point. Ray would hit a lariat and get a close two count then going for his Bully Bomb which Odinson broke, then hitting Ray with a hard pouncing shoulder tackle. As Odinson reached for the pinfall cover, the bell rang. The match went to a time limit draw, awarding both men, and their teams, with two points.
May Valentine interviews Tyrus and BLK Jeez
May Valentine with Tyrus and fellow Idolmania Management member BLK Jeez. Tyrus totes himself as NWA World Heavyweight champion, claiming to be the most viewed champion of all time. Team Tyrus is facing a member of Team Brickhouse later in the program. The two wrestlers spend some time talking up their faction’s dominance over the NWA with BLK Jeez stating that when he is ready for it, he can make the NWA Junior Heavyweight championship his.
Thom Latimer defeats EC3 via Disqualification
The two men exchange blows back and forth with Latimer gaining the advantage. EC3 blinds Thom Latimer with an eye poke that leaves him dazed. Both men continue to exchange with Latimer attempting his Crossface maneuver only to be overpowered by EC3 with a Thesz press. He then begins to gouge at the eyes of Latimer before the referee calls for the bell. Latimer is rewarded a point for a basic disqualification.

The match is then restarted as Latimer seemed able to continue fighting. EC3 holds the upper hand as he toys with the blinded Latimer. As EC3 goes for his finishing DDT/bulldog move, Latimer reverses into the Crossface. He has the hold locked in but cannot see his opponent reaching the ropes. The referee begins the count to break the hold but Thom Latimer is unable to realize that it is because EC3 has his hands on the bottom rope. The referee reaches the 5 count and calls for the bell. EC3 wins via extreme disqualification and receives 3 points.

Rolando Freeman defeated Anthony Andrews, Jeremiah Plunkett and Sal the Pal

A four way elimination style match was held next to determine the alternates for the teams in the Champion Series tournament. Andrews as the only true strongman in the bout takes the time to throw around the three much smaller competitors. Freeman steps up to Andrews who uses him as a weapon while in a powerbomb position. Freeman reverses and rolls up Andrews, eliminating him by pinfall with assistance from the other two competitors. The three go back and forth with strikes and holds resulting in Sal locking a figure four leg lock on Plunkett. Freeman splashes Sal while the hold is still locked in and then eliminates him by pinfall. Rolando Freeman then hits his Biggest Boot kick on Plunkett and scores the win.

The Fixers discuss their team

Jay Bradley and his NWA United States tag team champion partner discuss his being the captain of an impressive team for the tournament.

PJ Hawx & Judais defeated Damage & Rush Freeman

Most of the match saw aggressive fighting coming from Judais and the members of the opposing team. Hawx blind tage himself in at one point, even scolding his partner for his shady tactics. Damage and Freeman take advantage and beat down Hawx. Judais is eventually tagged back in and lands a choke slam on Freeman to score the win for his team via pinfall. Their team was awarded 5 points.

Cyon with May Valentine

Cyon says that his team’s success is all thanks to his father, Austin Idol. When asked where Idol was Cyon simply replied that he was on an important mission for the NWA and that it was no one’s business where he was.

Kamille backstage

Kamille speaks about being upset over the actions taken by EC3 in his match earlier in the night. She also claims that he makes no sense at all when speaking.

Thrillbilly Silas defeated Kratos

Silas and Kratos exchange power offense for most of the match. Kratos hits a powerslam but Silas is able to kick out. Silas comes up with a running powerslam for a close two count. Thrillbilly Silas nails a back suplex and an elbow for another two count. He attempts his Thrill Ride but Kratos powers out and hits him with a lariat. Silas gets his foot on the rope to break the pinfall. He gets up, hits the Thrill Ride, and gets the pinfall victory. 5 points awarded.

Final Team Standings
  • Team Tyrus – 8 points
  • Team Great – 8 points
  • The Fixers – 2 points
  • Team Brickhouse – 1 point
