WWE RAW (12/9/2024)
The show opens with CM Punk. He is feeling a little low and in a bit of a bad mood. Two weeks ago, he told Seth Rollins that he doesn’t think about him at all. However, he has since been thinking about him here and there. As much as he wanted to put it in the past, it was only a matter of time until they locked up in this ring. Instead of talking to his people, Seth’s stupid music may always overshadow and interrupt it. Just because he wears Elton John’s sunglasses, does not make him Elton John. And just because he idolized him growing up, does not mean he is CM Punk.
Seth told the world he was ghosted, and he says he is a bad guy. Punk admits he is the bad guy, and Seth is his failure, but he is willing to give him the wrestling lesson he sorely wanted for free. The bad news is the last person who did that was Drew McIntyre. Is he tougher than Drew McIntyre? Boston knows he is not, and there aren’t enough staples to put him back together when they are through. That wasn’t enough to bring him out here? Ok, well, let’s see what a CM Punk chant does.
Seth Rollins appears from the crowd and chanting CM Punk. He says life is about perspective. He thought if he came out and saw him the way the fans see him, he might feel differently about who he is. Let’s take a hard look. Nah, even from way out here, he is still an asshole. Punk says it makes sense that he is entering through the crowd, which is where he belongs. Seth is fine with that. He loves being with the people. He will always be a fan. And this fan has had more WrestleMania events than he ever will. Punk and Rollins meet and a fight breaks out. Security is quick to break them up, or at least try to.
Backstage, Drew McIntyre points out to Seth Rollins that Roman Reigns hasn’t changed, and he is looking to get back to the top. They need to stop him and those who helped him. Rollins says he already did that with the help of Jey Uso and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania. He respects them. And while they may have a common cause, the jury is out on respecting him. Rollins is going to do what McIntyre couldn’t do, and that is take out CM Punk.

Rey Mysterio stops The New Day from entering the locker room. The roster doesn’t want to share it with them. Kingston can’t believe they are being treated like this. Woods is fine with it. They didn’t want to share it with them anyway.
Adam Pearce announces that it is happening on their Netflix debut. CM Punk will face Seth Rollins.
Liv Morgan, Dirty Dom and Raquel Rodriguez talk about what is in the future. Nobody is more hot and iconic to lead them than Liv. Wait until next year when… and Morgan is interrupted by Rhea Ripley. She tells Liv that she will get her title back. And she ends this segment by calling Dominik a “chicken tender slut”.
The Miz believes they can move on from the Wyatt Sicks now, because they beat them last week. Karrion Kross tells him not to say another word. This is over when he says it is over. Miz will face Dexter Lumis next week. Paul Ellering tells Miz that he owes them after he saved him twice.
#2. [Women’s IC Championship First Round] Kayden Carter vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Zoey Stark – Winner: Zoey Stark
