WWE RAW (3/11/2024)

Drew McIntyre opens the show with a microphone. He calls Seth Rollins a junkie because he had to accept the tag team match to get his fix. Say “What?!” if you’re glad he took out CM Punk. He expects a thank you card from Punk because he is the only one keeping him relevant right now. Drew understands why The Rock is upset with Cody Rhodes. When he wins the title, everyone can be happy that they have a champion the company can invest in. Seth Rollins shows up to tell McIntyre to shut his mouth. He has good news. Now that the night 1 main event at WrestleMania has been decided, maybe we can get all the way there with the attention with one more Claymore right now.

Seth calls Drew a coward and then turns his back. Drew wants him to listen. He says that Seth was right. Rollins told him that he had to get over The Bloodline. McIntyre pleaded with Rollins to take his own advice, but all he cares about is Seth Rollins. Rollins says he reminds him of someone. A guy called CM Punk. Rollins thought Punk was the biggest hypocrite in the world until he met Drew. He beat Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso with the help of The Bloodline. He would love nothing more than to win the World Heavyweight title with their help.

Rollins says it isn’t going to happen, because on night 1, he and Cody Rhodes will take down The Bloodline. On night 2, it is just them. One-on-one. And the same thing will happen like it always does. He will stomp Drew’s head in to the mat, pin him, and all he will hear are the people singing his song. At the very bottom of the list of things he is worried about, after The Rock, The Bloodline, and his nagging injuries… is Drew McIntyre. This almost provokes Drew in to a fight, but he thinks better of it.

#1. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan – Winner: Becky Lynch

Rhea Ripley appears and walks down to the ring. She congratulates Becky Lynch on beating Liv Morgan. With every week, they get closer to WrestleMania. Lynch says she will fight anyone, anywhere, for the people, and for her family. Ripley repeats what Becky said about wanting to prove she is the best here, when deep down, she knows Ripley is better than her. If she doesn’t win at WrestleMania, she won’t be The Man. She will be a disappointment.

Becky Lynch says there has been a seed of doubt that began to flourish. But when people believe in her, she is good. When people doubt her, she is great. If it has to be her against the whole world? The world doesn’t stand a chance.

Adam Pearce & Nick Aldis have a major announcement. The Judgment Day will defend the undisputed tag team championships at WrestleMania XL in a six pack ladder match.

#2. Maxxine Dupri (w/ Ivy Nile) vs. Indi Hartwell (w/ Candice LeRae) – Winner: Indi Hartwell after Candice LeRae got in the ring and made Maxxine cry

Judgment Day ask the general managers what their deal is. Who came up with the ladder match idea? Adam Pearce admits it came from Miz & R-Truth. Speaking of which, R-Truth walks in, so Damian Priest demands a match with him tonight.

Michael Cole conducts an interview with Cody Rhodes in the ring. He asks why he slapped The Rock. Cody says it feels good to slap your boss. Before Rock went Hollywood, he was a great wrestler. He knows that slap was a receipt.

Cole asks why he agreed to the tag team match. He has so much at stake on Sunday. Why would he put that in jeopardy? With the history between Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, what makes him think he can trust him? Cody says people change. If he was to go to war with anyone, he is glad it is Seth Rollins. This is his one shot of ensuring a fair fight with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. And as for the question asking if he will repeat what his Dad did by getting so close, but failing to win the title. Does he look nervous? Of course he is.

The story isn’t just about Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. It is about the fans following it through to the end. A blind girl called Hannah came to a show to cheer him on, just to feel it. Fans from his own family, like his sister who drove his father around from show to show. Or his Mother, who is the only one he has left. How about his #1 fan? His wife Brandi Rhodes. She took a shot on him when he wore a goofy mask and took RKO’s every night. The story is beyond him, but it is up to him. Last year, Roman Reigns said they were in the third innings. Now, they are in the last.

Backstage, Nia Jax blindsides Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan while they show one another respect. She puts Lynch through a table.

#3. [Women’s Tag Team Championship] Kabuki Warriors (c) (w/ Damage CTRL) vs. Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark – Winners: Kabuki Warriors

#4. Damian Priest vs. R-Truth – Winner: Damian Priest

After the match, Judgment Day destroys three members of Regeneration X, including R-Truth, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano.

Jey Uso makes his way to the ring. He wants to address his brother Jimmy Uso. He came to Monday Night RAW for a fresh start. They won’t let him go. So how about this? Jey vs. Jimmy at WrestleMania! Accept his challenge or he will knock the yeet out of his ass.

Gunther is happy to watch as challengers step up to earn the opportunity to face him for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania. It takes a lot for him to be in this position. For whoever wins the gauntlet tonight, good luck.

#5. [Gauntlet Match To Decide Who Faces Gunther For Intercontinental Championship At WrestleMania XL]

  1. Ricochet vs. JD McDonagh – Winner: Ricochet
  2. Ricochet vs. Bronson Reed – Winner: Bronson Reed
  3. Bronson Reed vs. Sami Zayn – Winner: Sami Zayn
  4. Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura – Winner: Sami Zayn
  5. Sami Zayn vs. Chad Gable – Winner: Sami Zayn
