WWE RAW (5/12/2025)
CM Punk opens the show. He’s pissed at what happened with Paul Heyman. Jey Uso warned Punk about him, but Paul is Paul and he’s a fat little snake. But that’s not new to him. He’s coming for his enemies, and he can’t wait to get his hands around Heyman’s fat little neck. Paul Heyman interrupts him. Before he makes his way to the ring, Punk tells him that whatever words he uses, they will be his last. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker join Heyman’s side.
Rollins says when he thought Punk couldn’t get more egotistical, he finds a way. Paul Heyman was his best friend, and he made his life hell on the Road To WrestleMania. Stop trying to gaslight everyone in to making them believe Heyman betrayed him. Seth can’t hate him anymore than he does, and he would be World Champion right now if it weren’t for him. Punk promises he will never be the champion, so long as he’s on two feet.
Rollins figures it out… Punk desperately wants to play the victim and die a martyr. Seth believes that can be arranged, and he hopes he has said his last words. Bron Breakker enters the ring and takes the fight to Punk. Rollins joins them and gives them the numbers advantage. Sami Zayn shows up to even the odds, but it isn’t enough. Before Rollins can destroy Punk with a steel chair, Jey Uso pops up from nowhere to super kick Rollins. The babyfaces get their own steel chairs and send the heels packing.
#1. Penta vs. Chad Gable – Winner: Penta
Dominik Mysterio asks Finn Balor about why he hesitated with the steel chair at Backlash. Balor tells him not to be paranoid, and he is taking care of AJ Styles tonight. That is enough to put Dominik at ease.
Before the next match, The New Day makes their way to ringside.
#2. War Raiders vs. American Made (Creed Brothers) – Winners: American Made
Backstage, Seth Rollins tries to motivate Bron Breakker. He also gives an unheard instruction which seems to perk up Breakker.
During the break, Grayson Waller apologizes to Austin Theory for surprising him with a match against Sheamus last week. It’s OK, because Theory went to Adam Pearce and got Waller a match against Sheamus next week.
Jey Uso talks Logan Paul. After Saturday Night’s Main Event, he will still be… And he is interrupted by Gunther. With a smirk on his face, he says the unimaginable came true. For the first time since that moment, they meet again. Jey reminds Gunther he tapped out. He understands there is a lot of pressure on him as champion, but his opinion hasn’t changed. Unlike him, Jey Uso is not a natural champion. I’m surprised he hasn’t spread the news yet. The winner of Jey Uso vs. Logan Paul will have the honor to hand the title to its rightful owner on the June 9th episode of RAW.
During the break, Adam Pearce made the World tag title match a triple threat with New Day defending against War Raiders and American Made.
After we return from break, we see Bron Breakker viciously blindside Jey Uso backstage. Medics are called to see to the World Champion.
#3. AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor – Winner: AJ Styles with an assist from Penta
An upset Becky Lynch tells us she wasn’t beaten on Saturday. One of them was taken to a hospital, while the other enjoyed a great night. After Lyra Valkyria attacked her character, Becky gave her the best match of her career, and she has not mattered more in her entire life. But when the bell rang, she didn’t hear defeat. She heard herself being manipulated by all these fans. The last time she was champion, they wanted her to leave, so she went away.
Becky has to thank them for her career, and they were together all the way to the main event of WrestleMania. Everything changed when she won, though, because they could no longer relate. When she was away, she was asked if she missed being in the ring. She did, but she hadn’t missed having to listen to all the fans’ lies. Whatever they say she is, that is what she is going to be. All those girls in the back who were happy she was gone, they will finally realize what it is like to be held down by “The Man”.
#4. IYO SKY & Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez & Giulia – Winners: SKY & Ripley
