WWE RAW (5/13/2024)

Drew McIntyre storms to the ring. He says one of the greatest tricks he has ever pulled is looking like he is on drugs while he isn’t. Another great trick is getting everyone to forgive him after everything he has done. If you’re a CM Punk fan, you’re stupid. He isn’t going to waste his time on a guy who may not be cleared in 20 years. He briefly talks about Jey Uso taking his spot in King Of The Ring, before moving on to the paper champion Damian Priest. With the mention of his name, Damian Priest enters.

McIntyre admires Priest for standing up to him. He has worked his arse off to get here and deserves all the success in the world, but he does not deserve to be the World Champion. Priest knew he could not beat him one-on-one, so that is why he had to cash in Money In The Bank. Priest laughs it off. He tells him to look at a mirror and blame that arsehole for his mistakes.

Priest wanted to cash in on Seth Rollins, but he stopped him multiple times. That’s his fault. Then McIntyre told him to wait until he beats Seth so he could cash in. What happened? All he had to do at WrestleMania was leave. He saw Punk and made more important than himself, the championship, and his wife. His elbow will heal, he gets cleared, and then what? Drew wants a title shot? He’s got it. He can call him a paper champion all he wants, but when he is done, he will eat those words.

#1. [Queen Of The Ring Quarter Finals] Shayna Baszler vs. Iyo Sky – Winner: Iyo Sky

Carlito tries to convince Damian Priest to work together with the Judgment Day, but he wants nothing to do with him. Stubborn minds can be changed, and someday they could all be amigos.

Chad Gable talks down to Alpha Academy, before telling Otis he has a match against Sami Zayn. He doesn’t want to see the hips shaking. Gable wants serious Otis, who is made to say “No matter what.” Tozawa unluckily has a match with Bronson Reed. Ivy Nile asks why Maxxine Dupri is putting up with this, so Gable tells her to go bother someone else.

Samantha Irvin introduces former ring announcer Lillian Garcia, who tells Irvin she is doing an amazing job. Lillian announces the competitors for the next King Of The Ring match.

The Awesome Truth talk with Adam Pearce about who they will defend the tag team titles against. Kiana James walks in and has a good word with Pearce, who is respectful and lets her know if she needs anything, she can call him.

#2. [King Of The Ring Quarter Finals] Kofi Kingston vs. Gunther – Winner: Gunther via submission

#3. Akira Tozawa (w/ Chad Gable) vs. Bronson Reed – Winner: Bronson Reed

Adam Pearce explains that he didn’t add Bron Breakker in to the King Of The Ring because the other guys had earned it, and he didn’t want to throw him in the deep end. Breakker overhears this and says the rest of those guys would have been in the deep end with him. He would have smiled as they drowned. He should have been in the tournament.

#4. [Queen Of The Ring Quarter Finals] Lyra Valkyria vs. Zoey Stark – Winner: Lyra Valkyria

#5. Otis (w/ Chad Gable) vs. Sami Zayn – Winner: Sami Zayn

Gable mistreats Otis, so Zayn returns to put him in his place. Otis feels bad and tries to be there for Gable, but he gets slapped.

#6. Becky Lynch vs. Dakota Kai (w/ Damage CTRL) Winner: Becky Lynch via disqualification

Damage CTRL jumped in the ring to interrupt the match, and Lyra Valkyria makes the save. Liv Morgan blindsides Becky Lynch and throws her in to the post.

Ilja Dragunov needs to beat Jey Uso, but he also knows Gunther stands on the other side. He has beaten Gunther before, and they have a long history. Gunther shows up to remind him what lies ahead if he wins tonight.

#7. [World Tag Team Championship #1 Contender] Judgment Day’s Finn Balor & JD McDonagh vs. New Catch Republic vs. The Creed Brothers vs. The Authors Of Pain Winners: Judgment Day

#8. [King Of The Ring Quarter Finals] Jey Uso vs. Ilja Dragunov – Winner: Jey Uso
