The new World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins enters through the crowd like “The Shield” days. Streamers fill the ring, as he celebrates becoming the first champion in this title’s history. Seth welcomes everyone to Monday Night Rollins. He is a visionary, a revolutionary… he is Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. The crowd chants, “You Deserve It!”. It has been a long road to get here with highs and lows.
Being here feels right. What he likes to do is focus on the future, because finally Monday Night Raw has a champion that wants to be here, that is going to be here, and most importantly, a champion that is ready for a fight. He’s ready for a fight, and he wants all the fights. It doesn’t matter who you are, if you step to him, the result will always be the same. Standing in the ring with the World Heavyweight title around his waist and everyone singing his song. AJ Styles arrives.
He was drafted to SmackDown, but he couldn’t resist coming to Raw to say congratulations. AJ gave him everything he had. But then, the WWE Universe, they say he deserves it. He doesn’t think he deserves anything. He thinks Seth earned the right to be World Heavyweight Champion. Rollins offers a handshake, which AJ accepts. The Judgement Day appears. Finn Balor feels sick watching this. Damian Priest agrees. Rhea Ripley says they run Monday Night Raw. Priest says she’s right, and after watching The Bloodline implode, they now run the entire WWE.
Rhea Ripley says from THE champion to just another one, don’t get comfortable with the title Seth, because one of them will take it from him. It could even be Dom Dom. Seth Rollins & AJ Styles laugh at the thought. Dominik reminds AJ he beat him. It almost sounds like a challenge. Seth Rollins accepts a tag match with him & AJ Styles against any two of them.
Before the next match, Adam Pearce tells Rollins & Styles he is trying to get the main event match confirmed. After AJ confirms he has his gear, whoever Pearce is talking to tells him they can make it official.
#1. [MITB Qualifying] Ricochet vs. The Miz — Winner: Ricochet
Trish Stratus says it means absolutely nothing when fans thank her. She hates to say I told you so, but she told you so. She said she would beat Becky Lynch, and she beat her just like that. This is what you do when you are the greatest of all time. The #1. When you are “it”. And now Becky Lynch can crawl back to wherever she came from and give the real superstars their chance to shine, like the girl who helped her at Night Of Champions. A superstar with more attitude, aggression, and ruthlessness than she has seen in a long time. Let her introduce us to Zoey Stark.
Stark says she came to WWE to make a statement. And who better to learn from? She could have taken the long, hard, difficult road, or she could be smart and be mentored by Trish Stratus. She’s so humble and kind. Trish has a mark on her face from her match with Becky. Speaking of which, Becky Lynch enters and says she wants to restart the match and do this one-on-one right now. Zoey goes after her, but is thrown in to the barricade. The Man takes them both down, but eventually the numbers game work against her. They put a “Thank You Trish” vest on her as a gift.
#2. Indus Sher’s Veer & Sanga (w/ Jinder Mahal) vs. Unnamed Jobbers — Winners: Indus Sher
Kevin Owens (wearing an Uso shirt) and Sami Zayn make their way to the ring. It’s time to celebrate their title defense against The Bloodline. They are feeling pretty good tonight because they won at Night Of Champions. It was the worst night in Roman Reigns’ life and he deserved everything he got. He may hold the title for another 1000 days, but none of it matters because for the rest of the life, whenever he sees those tag titles he will remember that they won. Here come Imperium.
Zayn reminds Imperium that the last time they stepped to them, they got beat. Kaiser says Riddle is an embarrassment, as is them holding the tag titles. They are not worthy of holding those championships, nor representing Monday Night Raw. Kevin Owens wonders why we always hear from Kaiser, and the guy with the ears (Gunther), but never the bald guy on the end here (Vinci). We suddenly hear a long “Shooooooosh”. Alpha Academy is here to show Imperium what they got, now that Maxxine Dupri is officially with them. KO asks Chad Gable to do the thing that makes him chuckle…. “Oh thank you!”.
#3. Imperium’s Ludwig Kaizer & Giovanni Vinci (w/ Gunther) vs. Alpha Academy’s Chad Gable & Otis (w/ Maxxine Dupri) — Winners: Imperium
Cathy Kelley is standing by with Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi. They were about to say they stand a chance of winning tonight, but Bayley & Damage CTRL interrupt. When they win tonight, they are dedicating it to their injured friend Dakota Kai. Raquel says when Bayley loses tonight, and she remains the only member of Damage CTRL not to have claimed gold, she will have to look hard in the mirror.
#4. [Women’s Tag Team Championship] Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi vs. Damage CTRL’s Bayley & Iyo Sky vs. Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler vs. Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville — Winners: Rousey & Baszler become the new champions!
With this victory, Shayna Baszler becomes a record 3-time tag team champion. Also, Ronda Rousey becomes the 8th WWE Women’s Triple Crown Champion.
#5. Dolph Ziggler vs. JD McDonagh — Winner: Draw (Double Countout)
After the referee ended the match, JD McDonagh kept on torturing Ziggler on the ring steps until he was told to stop. Backstage, Cody Rhodes is seen in a suit and an arm sling. He may be heading out to the ring.
In the ring, Cody Rhodes says he didn’t tap out because he passed out. He has a question for Brock Lesnar. Are you satisfied with this being done? It is one a piece. He hopes he’s not, so let’s consider this an open challenge. However he wants to do it, let him know what his answer is. He lists all of Brock’s accomplishments before saying he couldn’t make him tap out. Lesnar is afraid of Cody Rhodes.
Matt Riddle says he’d love to win the Money In The Bank contract and cash it in on Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins. Gunther congratulates him on his opportunity, but he thinks that when he wins it, he should cash it in on him for the Intercontinental Championship.
Ronda Rousey says for years they were told they aren’t what people want, but here they are. They are the baddest team on the planet and demand to be recognized as the best.
