Check out spoilers of WWE Main Event for this week, too.

  • Pat McAfee isn’t here tonight. The Miz is joining Michael Cole on commentary.
  • Drew McIntyre starts off the show with an in-ring promo and some footage of his attack on CM Punk from last Friday Night SmackDown. McIntyre is happy about taking Punk out, insults Punk’s dog, and plans to join in the Money in the Bank ladder match and cash in later the same night to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
  • Backstage, Chad Gable enters the arena, surrounded by security. He doesn’t want to be on camera and has his head bandaged.
  • Bron Breakker vs. Ludwig Kaiser ended with Sheamus interfering (so either a no-contest or a DQ, depending on how it’s ruled), only for Breakker to be the last man standing of the three.
  • Backstage, Damian Priest was upset with The Judgment Day for sitting around and playing WWE 2K24 instead of dealing with Braun Strowman. [Noteworthy, Dominik Mysterio had his tray of chicken nuggets, so this guy’s winning left and right every week.]
  • After the commercial break, Bron Breakker is pissed about people getting involved in his matches and yells at Adam Pearce, who says he’ll take care of it. Sami Zayn interrupts the two talking to say if Breakker wants to challenge him for the Intercontinental Championship, any time, any place, name it. Breakker suggests they fight for the title at Money in the Bank. Zayn wants Pearce to make it official, and he does.
  • Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifier Triple Threat Match: Lyra Valkyria vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Kairi Sane — Valkyria was victorious and has qualified.
  • Promo: Liv Morgan invited “Daddy Dom” to the ring and talked about the gifts she’s been giving him, planning on giving him one more in front of everyone in the arena. Zelina Vega came out instead to say she doesn’t know why Liv is so obsessed with Rhea Ripley’s sloppy seconds, and while Morgan’s running around “chasing Dirty D”, Zelina is chasing the Women’s World Championship. She challenged Morgan to a title match right now, who said no, not now, suggesting next week instead. Dominik Mysterio then came out to say he didn’t like Morgan’s gifts, and before long, a brawl ensued, where Morgan went after Vega and Rey Mysterio tried to help, only to get pushed down by Dom.
  • Backstage, Cathy Kelley spoke to Adam Pearce, who doesn’t have an update about Chad Gable’s medical status other than to say again that he’s cleared to compete and focused on tonight, even though he’s shaken up.
  • Backstage, Liv Morgan thanked Dominik Mysterio for being her savior. He denied it, saying he just doesn’t like his deadbeat dad. R-Truth came over to Liv to say he has a soft spot for Tom and Nick. Morgan manipulated R-Truth into agreeing to a tag title match against The Judgment Day for later tonight. He says he always liked Carmella, and this set off The Miz to leave the commentary table to run to the back to try to stop it from being made official.
  • Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifier Triple Threat Match: Braun Strowman vs. Chad Gable vs. Bronson Reed — Chad Gable was victorious, pinning Reed.
  • After that match, Nikki Cross came out and delivered a package to Michael Cole. Following the commercial break, Cole opened it up to reveal a VHS tape labeled “play me”. He handed that off to someone for the production truck.
  • Backstage, Gable sought out Alpha Academy. His life flashed before his eyes last week and he admits that he’s stepped over the line in recent months. He apologizes for how he’s been acting. Otis says they’re still done with Gable, as anyone who hurts Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri isn’t family. Maxxine says it’s terrifying what happened to Gable and for what it’s worth, they’re really glad he’s okay, but it’ll take time for Otis in particular to trust Gable again. Immediately next, The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile asked Gable if he’s okay and he said no, he needs help.
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: The Unholy Union (c) defeated Katana Chance & Kayden Carter by pinfall to retain their titles. Damage CTRL came out after the match to beat down both tag teams.
  • Backstage, Liv Morgan left The Judgment Day’s penthouse, where only Finn Balor was there. Balor claims that Morgan was there to say the tag title match was confirmed. Priest still thinks this is all too good to be true.
  • Promo: Damian Priest and Seth Rollins jaw-jacked in the ring, trading verbal barbs to hype up their title match for Money in the Bank. A new stipulation was added to the match, where if Rollins loses, he won’t challenge for the title again while Priest is champion. However, if Rollins wins, Priest has to leave The Judgment Day. Priest says since he’s the champion, the way he sees it, The Judgment Day needs him way more than he needs them, and he accepts. Gunther then came out to remind them that the winner is going to fight him at SummerSlam, and he plans to prove that the better man between those two will be the lesser man when they step in the ring with The Ring General.
  • The contents of the VHS tape were played. Uncle Howdy was asking Bo Dallas if he’s happy and how he’s been dealing with loss of his brother. Dallas said the most important thing in his life was taken away from him. All he ever wanted his whole life was to be like Bray Wyatt, as he looked up to him. When they finally made it to WWE together, it was taken away from him. No one on Earth was as hurt from his loss and feels what he feels. “They” wanted to forget about “them”, but “they” made “them” remember.
  • Karrion Kross defeated Kofi Kingston by pinfall due in part to a distraction from the rest of The Final Testament beating down Xavier Woods backstage, broadcast on the TitanTron.
  • World Tag Team Championship Match: The Judgment Day (Finn Balor & JD McDonagh) defeated The Awesome Truth (c) by pinfall to win the tag titles with some help from Carlito and Liv Morgan!
