We bring you coverage for the episode of WWE SmackDown airing on January 10, 2025. Missed RAW? You can find the results here.
Paul Heyman opens the show by making his way to the ring to sing the praises of Roman Reigns. Next, he asks Cody Rhodes to join him, and the champion accepts the invitation. After telling Rhodes how respected he is, Heyman tells him that Roman Reigns wants his title back. And so there are no surprises, he is going to enter the Royal Rumble, win it, and go on to face Cody at WrestleMania.
Kevin Owens interrupts with a microphone. Just when he thought it couldn’t get any worse, he watched on RAW as Cody Rhodes shook The Rock’s hand. And just now, he accepts Paul Heyman’s respect, and is then told Roman Reigns wanted his title back. Kevin Owens continues to tell Rhodes how wrong he is, and this infuriates Cody. He goes after him and they fight in the crowd.
Back in the ring, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga appear to corner Heyman. Jimmy Uso tries to make the save, but a steel chair shot to Fatu does zero damage. Referees attempt to stop their beatdown on Jimmy, but one of them is taken out. Cody Rhodes rushes back to the ring to take out Tonga and Fatu, and he succeeds in getting them out of the ring.

Tiffy time! Tiffany Stratton celebrates her championship victory. She admits to playing Nia Jax all along. She was never friends with her, she just strung her along until it was time to take advantage. An angry Nia Jax enters with a microphone. She could kill her right now. Tiffany would be nothing without her. It took her long enough to figure out how to take advantage, and now she is having her moment. Time’s up, so either she gives her the title back, or Nia will take it from her.
Bayley interrupts this. She praises Tiffany for not being as stupid as she thought. As for Nia, she is definitely stupid for allowing Tiffany to outsmart her. Bayley thinks she deserves a shot after everything. Naomi enters with Bianca Belair to remind everyone she would have won the title from Nia had it not been for Tiffany. A fight breaks out, and is ended when Tiffany hits the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on them all. Nick Aldis enters to inform the four women in the ring they will wrestle right now to decide the #1 contender.
