SmackDown opens with an injured Jimmy Uso. He says War Games was lit, but it got his toe. It meant everything to him, because he was with a bunch of family, and the OG Bloodline came out on top. What’s in front of us is the question. For years, he has watched his family dominate sports entertainment. Now we get to do this. It’s a whole dream. He watched Roman Reigns be the most dominant champion. Jimmy watched Jey Uso become one of the hottest wrestlers in the world today.
He’s proud of that. And he’s even proud of Solo Sikoa, despite not liking what he’s doing. He found himself asking what is he going to do. Jimmy doesn’t know, but it’s a big year ahead. He may go after some titles, and nothing is going to stop him from doing what he wants to do. It is time for Jimmy Uso! And suddenly, he is taken down by a Claymore from Drew McIntyre! Nick Aldis and officials are quick to protect Jimmy, and McIntyre promptly leaves.
Nick Aldis tells Bianca Belair that they are still considering what to do, but it looks like they might have to relinquish the Women’s Tag Team Championship. She doesn’t want that! Naomi steps in and suggests that she serve as a replacement partner in the short term. Aldis tells them he will run it past higher management, but they must be ready to defend the titles against the best, and even if it means doing so next week. They both agree.
#1. [Women’s US Championship Tournament Semi-Final] Tiffany Stratton vs. Michin – Winner: Michin
DIY explains why they took the shortcut to get the tag titles back. They had been embarrassed and hated that Motor City Machine Guns cut the line. They weren’t going to stand back and let that happen.
Roman Reigns explains that everything fell apart at WrestleMania. He lost his title, his Wiseman, and the entire Bloodline. Most importantly, he lost his Ula Fala. Reigns didn’t take that, he earned it. He was crowned the responsibility by his family, because he was chosen to carry it forward. Their Bloodlines each won one, but now, they should put their groups aside. On January 6th, he will take back his Bloodline, his Ula Fala, and his respect, and once he gets that back, the whole world will have no choice but to acknowledge him.
#2. Carmelo Hayes vs. Braun Strowman – Winner: Braun Strowman
LA Knight sends a warning shot to Solo Sikoa ahead of their match.
In the ring, Solo Sikoa grabs a microphone to tell everyone to acknowledge him. Just as he is about to address Roman Reigns, he is interrupted by LA Knight.
#3. LA Knight vs. Solo Sikoa (w/ The Bloodline) – Winner: No Contest after Jacob Fatu’s interference
The Bloodline attacks LA Knight. Andrade and Apollo Crews attempt to make the save, but are taken out as well.
Braun Strowman is offered a part in Pretty Deadly’s musical, but he turns it down. Grayson Waller offers him a spot on the Grayson Waller Effect, and after thinking about it, tells A-Town Down Under he will see them next week.
