We bring you coverage for the episode of WWE SmackDown airing on August 2, 2024. Missed RAW? You can find the results here.
The show opens with Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa’s face-to-face. Rhodes asks who we want to talk to, and out comes the “Tribal Chief” Solo Sikoa. The crowd chants, “We Want Roman!”. Solo tells them to acknowledge him, but they respond with “Solo Sucks!”. Cody Rhodes says he sees the chip on his shoulder. As a little brother like him, he understands wanting to prove himself. But there is an old expression in wrestling, and it only matters after the bell rings.
Solo Sikoa looks at his watch and asks if he is done. Cody is not done. The champion names the guys who have helped him to get to the top, and if he loses to Sikoa at SummerSlam, he cannot repay them. It also hurts what he did against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Solo Sikoa says when he beat Roman Reigns, he was a weak Tribal Chief. He’s not weak. He’s dangerous. At SummerSlam he will show him how much. Let’s put his money where his mouth is.
The rest of The Bloodline walk through the crowd toward the ring. Cody Rhodes says he isn’t afraid of them. He isn’t afraid of Fatu either, who he calls a dumb son of a bitch. Tomorrow night at SummerSlam, if Solo Sikoa wants a Bloodline rules match… he accepts. Sikoa says tonight, the tag team titles return to The Bloodline, and the WWE Championship returns tomorrow. Cody Rhodes says the Tribal Chief is not here, but he will settle for the wannabe. Solo Sikoa tells the rest of The Bloodline to walk to the back with him.

Nick Aldis does not sound happy to welcome the hometown hero back to Cleveland… Logan Paul.
The United States Champion addresses LA Knight. He has not met a man so eager to take his belt off him. He’s not his type, and he is delusional if he thinks he is going to strip him of the title in his hometown. Whether they can admit it or not, he inspires this great city. He represents. Logan Paul is Cleveland. Some don’t think he is a great champion. He has only had two title defenses.
Even so, that is two more defenses than LA Knight will ever have. Logan can’t relate to these people because he’s great. He made it. We are here to recognize his greatness with some of Cleveland’s finest. Nick Aldis googled the names of these three people he has brought in to the ring, and he found nothing. Logan Paul is to unveil a banner in the arena to recognize his greatness. It appears… but has a big “YEAH” plastered over it.
LA Knight appears to talk to ya. He asks what the banner says, and the fans chant “YEAH!”. LA Knight asks Logan Paul to get serious, as we are 24 hours away from him losing his title. He should consider himself lucky nothing else has happened to him. Is he even from Cleveland? He’s from West Lake. LA Knight tells him he has another banner to replace the trash out there. He heads backstage and finds the Prime car. And of course, he steals it… YEAH!
#3. [Women’s Tag Team Championship] Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn (c) vs. Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill – Winners: Belair & Cargill via DQ
Blair Davenport interfered and got the champions disqualified, but they remain the champions. Davenport, Fyre and Dawn take out the challengers.
Nia Jax gives Tiffany Stratton a pretty pink Money In The Bank briefcase to replace her damaged one. She tells her not to cash it in tomorrow, or she will have to answer to The Queen. Stratton is very grateful. Chelsea Green tries to criticize the design choice, but Tiffany tells her that green is so not her color. Toodles!
