Cody Rhodes opens the show. Just as he starts talking about Solo Sikoa, he shows up with the rest of The Bloodline. He doesn’t care about what he wants to talk about, because he wants to talk about SummerSlam. If it wasn’t for Roman Reigns, he would have become champion. Before he does anything, he needs to give him a rematch for the title.
Cody Rhodes says he got beat in the middle of the ring, so he does not deserve a rematch. The Bloodline gets up on the ring apron, but they quickly back away when Kevin Owens shows up with two steel chairs. Solo Sikoa says he will see them later after he deals with Roman Reigns.
Before Kevin Owens leaves, Cody Rhodes tells him he wants to talk. Earlier, he was talking about who he would like to face for the WWE Championship. He would like to face Kevin Owens. Despite this, KO says he does not deserve a title shot. He hasn’t earned it at all. The fans chant “you deserve it”. Cody Rhodes had a feeling he would say no, but he hasn’t forgotten the sacrifices he has made in the fight with The Bloodline. He is still the prizefighter in the prime of his career. Rhodes is ready to go backstage and tell Nick Aldis why Owens should face him at Bash At Berlin.
While Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens talks to Nick Aldis, he mentions possibly giving Roman Reigns a title shot. This angers Owens, who tells Aldis he doesn’t deserve it more than anybody. He should go to the locker room and find far more deserving challengers in there. Aldis tells Owens he is standing right here and is deserving enough, so Owens agrees to the match, more so just to stop Reigns from getting it.
Backstage, Tiffany Stratton is planning Nia Jax’s championship celebration. Pretty Deadly, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven offer their advice, but none of it is very helpful.
Blair Davenport shows up to help Fyre & Dawn to beat up on Cargill & Belair. Naomi arrives to even up the odds, and with her help, the faces stand tall.
LA Knight wants to talk to ya, yeah! People have been asking if it felt extra sweet to beat Logan Paul in his hometown. The fans chant that he deserves it, but LA Knight says Logan Paul deserved a beating, yeah! Call him what you want, but now you can call him the champ, and he has arrived. He understands that holding this makes him a marked man. He can’t stop being the United States Champion, with everybody saying LA Knight, yeah!
Legado Del Fantasma interrupts. Santos Escobar tells him he doesn’t believe in him as the champion. All of his glory will just be an opening act to his reign. The fact of life is that he is the only one true champion, with everyone saying Escobar, si! LA Knight didn’t hear any of that. All he knows is he has to qualify first, and even if he does, he isn’t going to let him take this away. Yeah!
Before the next match, WWE pays tribute to the legend Kevin Sullivan after his passing.
The Bloodline heads to the ring. Solo Sikoa tells the fans to acknowledge him. He tells Roman Reigns that he is the Tribal Chief now. If he still calls himself the Tribal Chief, then he needs to come and get it back.
Roman Reigns shows up and takes out both Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa with the steel steps. After fighting with Solo Sikoa, the rest of the Bloodline recovers enough to save him. However, the Tonga brothers eat some spears while Sikoa retreats. Reigns smashes a steel chair on them. Sikoa tries to goad Reigns up the ramp, but he isn’t interested. The show ends there.
