Here are the results from WWE SmackDown:
- Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky) retained the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship over Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox by pinfall due to some interference from Bayley and a mysterious person in a hoodie that attacked Nox from the crowd. This attacker was later revealed to be Xia Li.
- A video package was aired to hype Imperium and Gunther’s title defense.
- Backstage, Sami Zayn is nervous. Jimmy Uso think Roman Reigns is going to make Zayn a full-blown Uce tonight. Jey Uso is concerned that they might be setting Zayn up for a disappointment, though.
- Footage is shown of what LA Knight tied up, wearing the Uncle Howdy mask with his mouth duct taped. We aren’t sure what happened, but LA Knight is here and looking for a fight. He went to the ring and called out Bray Wyatt, eventually attacking him. But then, Uncle Howdy showed up on the stage, surrounded by smoke and mostly in silhouette. He started laughing, so Knight booked it out of there.
- Intercontinental Championship Match: Gunther (c) retained over Ricochet by pinfall. Braun Strowman came out to help save Ricochet from a three-on-one beating by Imperium after the match.
- Backstage, Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman were approached by Jimmy Uso, who reminded Reigns that while Sami is his boy, his loyalty is still to his family above anything else. Reigns then instructed Heyman to get Adam Pearce on the line to talk to. After the commercial break, Pearce spoke to The Bloodline. Heyman, on Reigns’ behalf, suggested Reigns and Sami Zayn against Kevin Owens and any partner of his choice (including even Pearce himself) on the December 30 edition of SmackDown.
- Triple Threat Match: Hit Row defeated The Viking Raiders and Legado del Fantasma by pinfall (Top Dolla pinned Joaquin Wilde)
- Raquel Rodriguez was interviewed about her injury. She said the doctor told her to exercise caution, but she has a grudge to settle. Then, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler attacked her.
- The Bloodline comes out for a promo. Reigns tells Zayn that they have a Kevin Owens problem, as KO won’t leave Zayn alone. But he has a solution. In that tag team match on December 30th, they’re going to smash Owens. Zayn said that this is true, because Owens is a cancer who drags everyone down, and he’s his only friend. He realizes how he misspoke and tries to correct himself as that he “was” Kevin’s only friend. Suddenly, John Cena appeared on the TitanTron. Owens reached out to him to be his tag team partner to keep his streak of having a WWE match every year alive. Cena accepts the offer to end the show.
